Interview:
Who are you?
We are Benni (Take it Easy) and Friso (Freezo) aka the Adana Twins, from Hamburg.
What do you do?
As the Twins we love to DJ, make music and enjoy good Turkish food. Here in Hamburg we have a residency in our hood; the Baalsaal and Neidklub. At the Baalsaal we have every third Thursday our own night called DEEP JEUDI which is part of the big JEUDI Family. At this Night we book acts like Renaissance Man, Homework, DJ Beware, Rampa, Sacha Robotti, Zombie Disco Squad and many more to bring Hamburg our definition of House Musicand especially the music we like.
If we are not Djing, Friso is working as a Designer and Benni is working as an Art Director in an advertising Agency.
Where are you from?
Friso: I was born in Bochum and raised in different places at the "Rheinland (near Cologne)"
Benni: I was born and grown up in Celle (near Hannover). Officially the most beautiful city in Europe. And that's no joke. At the age of 18 I went to Hamburg to explore the big city life.
Tell us a little about the label..?
For one and a half years we have been doing a weekly party in Hamburg called JEUDI, together with some other DJs - as the name says it all: Its taking place on every Thursday ( lots of the kids are saying "Joy-d" - that's not right ;)
The party is a mix of nearly every variation of electronic clubmusic. Every thursday has its own character. We had to tell about this party because the team and the idea for the label wouldn't have been without the JEUDI Cosmos and the legendary nights we have had there.
So how did the label start?
We were finalizing this track "Heliumcowboy" together with our buddy, the producer Martin Druzella, who was also frequently djing at JEUDI . Somehow we thought we had to celebrate this and began saluting at our hood. We met JEUDI Soul Davidé Kundo and had a funny night when we all found ourselves drunk in a transsexual bar in the red light district Reeperbahn. In the end we were "realizing" how much influence this JEUDI Club had on us. So we were looking at each other and knew the party has to become a label and "Heliumcowboy" had to be our first song.
The sound we love has a tropical, deep and techhouse soul. After our first release with the great remixes of Sacha Robotti & Spieltrieb we'd like to introduce more family members of JEUDI Cosmos and also feature some young and upcoming artists of the Hamburg electronic scene.
How did Adana Twins form?
We studied together graphic design and did a few party. At first only for our College. Later in different Clubs in Hamburg. One Night we were together at one of our partys behind the decks to make a back to back set. We had so much fun that we decided to repeat that regularly. A new project was born. But we didn´t know how to name ourselves. One day we were sitting at Lokma (a good Turkish restaurant in Hamburg) thinking about names, and suddenly these two wonderful Turkish meat spits (Adana Kebab) were smiling at us. mhm.. yummy! So here we are. The Adana Twins.
What one track did you wish you had produced?

Who are your favourite producers at the moment and why?
Friso: &Me - because i really love his deep basslines ;)
Sacha Robotti - because he did a great job !
Benni: Stimming. Because he is not from earth!!!!
The guys also sent over a bootleg in collaboration with Dr Dru, which you can get your shivering hands on below:
Doctor Dru was a drummer when he came into the world; he was playing his mothers pots & pans and treating his parents furniture as toms, but a dust allergy made him to proceed to the drum set.
His first love was funk music and he was hitting the snare in various soul bands. At that time he was called Dr. Beat and that's when he has earned his doctor title. Then Dr. Beat fell in love with an atari and a drum machine.
He turned into Dr.Dru. His older sister forced him to spin vinyl at her numerous parties. The clubs liked that, too, and that´s how it came to be that he is doing still with all his passion and soul.
The pulse keeping it together is his destiny. Listen!
