DIRTYBIRD BASS COMPILATION!! GET HYPED!!

Those big subby 808 beats and hip-hop/crunk-esque basslines have always been a key part of the foundation of what has become known as the Dirtybird sound. It’s no secret that Claude VonStroke used to be big into his D&B and that he and his colleagues have been influenced by West Coast hip-hop and the like. So it’s fitting then that they’re releasing a little compilation by the name of BASS.

Out this month, the 9-track compilation showcases the various bassy influences that run through their catalogue, with some classics sitting alongside new and exclusive bits such as a “DnB style house gem” from the first lady of Dirtybird, J Phlip, and the UK’s Julio Bashmore (Aquarium) and a special mash-up by James Zabiela (taking care of DJ Marky & S.P.Y.’s loverly remix of Claude VonStroke’s Aundy). Miss Phlip also provides a mixed version which is included along with the unmixed tracks.
