Starting with this little gem from Ruede Hagelstein; Berlin based DJ and Producer.
We also caught up with the man himself to get a few brief words...
What did you listen to when you were growing up? My first experience with music was Abba. This was my first vinyl; my father didn't like it and made me a gift. He was more into Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, but also Kate Bush. I was following him and never bought another Abba single. I'm still a big Jimi Hendrix and Kate Bush Fan. In the early '90s I got in touch with Techno, but it was getting boring in the mid '90s. So I enjoyed anything; Hardcore, Hip Hop, Reggae, Pop - nearly anything.
What else do you have going on for the rest of 2010? A remix for Tiefschwarz "Legends", a release called "No Groupies And Ugly Dancers" on Upon You Records, which I did with my partner Fraenzen under the project name "The Cheapers", and also a Remix for Louie Austen "Make Your Move"...and some more stuff too.
What can we expect from this mix? You can expect some of my favorite dance music tracks and some of my new releases: "Emergency" (Souvenir Music) and "House In A Ghost" (Lebensfreude Rec.). I try to show a diversity of my DJing influences from Dub, Disco, Techno, Pop, Trance and Electro.
