What do you listen to at home? Beside the tracks we're playing at the parties, and search for some new music, we're tryin' to listen to a wide range of genres, because the music is only "good" or "bad" :)lot of our inspirations, comes from of all kind of music ..
What was your first big breakthrough as an act? What would you rate as the best experience that you’ve had in the music scene so far? There wasn't one moment in past, we think that the breakthrough was when we organized a party in our home town, and we played all night long sets to the early morning, that was a something special for us. Now we must stop a little bit with this, because we have a lot of work with Pol_On, but we can't wait the days that we will have time to organize a partys in Warsaw, and make those nights unforgettable..
Do you have a favourite place or somewhere where you get the best reaction? We had a club in Warsaw called 55, this was the "right" place, in every party we're played there people's reaction were amazing, this atmosphere was unique. But now the club is closed, and currently we're searching for some new inspiration place to play.
Is there an all-time favourite track you wish you'd produced? Of course there a lot of great tracks in all history, but one is the special one for us, it's the remix of Jazzanova for MJ Cole ("mj cole - sincere jazzanova sincerely yours remix), that is a masterpiece of sound, arrangement, tensions in music, melodies... it's almost the perfect track of all times !
What is the most interesting comment you have heard about your music? We don't know.. Really :)
What is the craziest after party you've ever been to or played at? Hehe... was so many of them, but always afterpartys in club Luzztro in Warsaw is totally crazy, and was another in our friend's apartment... but we don't want to tell a details about that ... hehehe. But seriously,an afterparty is very specific kind of gig, because you can play very smooth, and make some great atmosphere with all those people on a dancefloor, we love afterpartyyyyysss ... :)
What are your plans for the rest of the year in terms of production and general music related business? What is your aim as a producer, what ambitions have you got? Lately we had a mass of remixes to do, it's great because a lot of very known artist asked us to do a remix, we appreciate this very much. But now we wanna focus on our stuff, and make some new music. We want to release our next EP on Freerange, a than on a very good label from the States called Kolour Records, and than we will think about some others options. But Priority for us is to evolve all the time, our style is changing little bit, and that's good for us, we don't want to get stuck in one place. "Forward ever, Backward never"

The Cheapers - "Bonfire" Written and produced by Ruede Hagelstein & Fraenzen Texas Video by IFBB Berlin Make Up Vanessa Warkalla
No Groupies And Ugly Dancers EP Release Date 26.07.2010 Upon You Records
They live in the clubs, eat through their noses and sleep standing up. The Cheapers do the same, but the title “no groupies and ugly dancers” is directed at the mean faced Ravers and talkers that lurk in the dark corners of clubs…. The Cheapers are sending a message to all those types with this release, Upon You 36. They begin by lighting a “bonfire” on A1, dancing around the fire like crazed polka-shamans, until the final minimal priest has thrown his bible into the embers. Next they attack the unwashed go-go’s, hobby strippers and “Ugly Dancers” on B1. Eventually reaching out and apologizing to the shy and quiet real music lovers that like to sway dreamily on B2.
Robotnick just uploaded a new video on youtube - a live edit of Italo-disco "cult" track "Spacer Woman":
And here is a track made especially to celebrate Roy Avni, the founder of Electronation, who recently passed away. It is open for download so get on it.
After the smash hit success of the first 'Pelski Presents', the night returns with another mighty fine line-up... and it's FREE entry before 10pm...
JET PROJECT (Get Physical / Get Digital / Beef Records) MACKAVELI (Fabric) SOLID GOLD & PARK RANGER (Trouble Vision) CHARLES DARKLY (Pelski Blog)
Saturday 14 August Big CHill House, near King's Cross Station FREE before 10pm.
JET PROJECT Headlining will be none other than the critically acclaimed JET PROJECT, providing their sub-aqua sounds of dubbed up tech-house and tribal debauchery. The Belfast duo have been signed to Booka Shade's Get Physical as well as releasing a slew of impressive house and techno tunes on Viva, Darkroom Dubs, Intimacy Music and their own imprint Extended Play. Their 2009 album 'Heads In The Clouds', was a 2009 must-have, filled with deep and dubby tribal cuts, house groovers and throbbing techno bangers; each track as intricately constructed as the next. Some stunning recent releases have seen yet more hype lauded upon Jet Project in 2010, including 'Welcome to Chi-Town', their ode to Chicago house, and 'Understand This' a lucid, techy track, riding an infectious soulful sample. Support comes from some of the biggest names in the game: Laurent Garnier, Paul Woolford, Claude VonStroke, Andrew Weatherall, Francois K, John Digweed, Heidi & M.A.N.D.Y
MACKAVELI Fabric's notorious MACKAVELI will be laying down the twisted 2-step and sharp techno cuts. His sets have come renowned for his seamless blend of new and old garage with up-to-the-minute techno and house. Without fail, every Mack mix carries a handful of hidden gems he should've kept quiet about...
SOLID GOLD & PARK RANGER The party-starting Trouble Vision duo SOLID GOLD & PARK RANGER never fail to get people moving on the dancefloor with their extensive and impeccable taste in techno and house. Solid Gold ended the first Pelski night with a bang, only this time, there's two of them...
CHARLES DARKLY Pelski resident will be warming up with anything from deep and percussive house to animated dub techno.
The Martin Brothers return with another creative track featuring their signature marriage of big bass and cool melody.
One listener suggested it sounds like a "Happy Japanese village that gets crushed by Godzilla."
Remix riders come from the Dirtybird stable with Julio Bashmore & Riva Starr taking the reigns; Riva's jacking renditions are the clubland answers for those too afraid to rock the original. Whilst the Bashmore mix is a lush reinterpretation flush with 808s and shimmering melodica.
Like Buena Vista Social Club on disco biscuits, the new release from Oliver $ is a smooth rolling Latin no-nonsense groove that will undoubtedly turn every club that it gets dropped in into a Cuban veranda... I want a mojito. Danke.
Oliver $ is the 1st release on the new sub label from Made To Play; Play It Down.

For their latest instalment of the always-qualitative VARIOUS ARTISTS collection, Ali and Basti of Keinemusik have found some treasures among the freshest demos of their closest friends from Berlin, Ruede Hagelstein and Re.You.
Not so surprisingly, this Souvenir N°28 has the creative energy and the diversity of a successful party weekend in the German Capital.
Ruede Hagelstein releases music infrequently, always taking his time to carefully craft each of his productions. Fortunately, he often brings his creations to Souvenir with tracks like “Semikolon” or his latest remix for Elle P & Iftah…which are certainly at the forefront of all-time classics of Tiefschwarz sets.
In charge of the A-side of Souvenir 028, Ruede shows once again with “Emergency,” that he knows how to treat an after-party stomper. Perfect early morning pick, the sun shines on his bongos, the nonsense raves with his lyrics, the horns roar with delight, and a plane flies over a crowd of happy, sleepless dancers. Damn…Ruede made it again!
Equally dodgy and uplifting, “Friday” is led by the jazzy beat of the drums to a dark alley, where guys with bats wait to give a beat down…Ouch!
Re.You, brother to Santé, had his first entry on the label with “Lumo” on Souvenir+4. With these first two tracks released on vinyl, Marius proves that there are two growing talents in the Maier Family. With “Périlleux,” hypnotic is certainly the first word that comes to mind. Its melody of synth-notes, intoxicated by rolling drums and concrete noises twirls deep you’re your head. Dizzying enough to hurl any floor into a gas-pedal dancing euphoria. “This Way,” on the other hand, is a rhythmically-centered house number. Catchy grooves and ernergizing lyrics are at the rendezvous to keep the party going on.
Guest remixer for the extended digital side of the EP, Adam Port, continues to show the Souvenir diversity of skills, and delivers a highly devastating peak-time remix for “This Way.”

KLS001 - LUCA LOZANO & SACHA ROBOTTI - BARTOK
VINYL RELEASED JULY 20TH 2010 A1: BARTOK B1: BARTOK (SIOPIS REMIX)
DIGITAL RELEASED JULY 20TH 2010 1: BARTOK 2: BARTOK (SIOPIS REMIX) 3: BARTOK (JET PROJECT REMIX) 4: BARTOK (CLOUD STUDY REMIX)
For its debut release, label co-founder and creative director Luca Lozano teams up with fellow labelmate Sacha Robotti to bring you the anthemic 'Bartok'.
Announcing its arrival with widescreen trumpets, 'Bartok' evolves into a tough dancefloor workout that remains triumphant from start to finish. Galloping drums and nagging trumpets provide the rhythm for a catchy and incessant clarinet line that rollercoasts up and down until the last lap.
First up on remix duties, Get Physical affiliate Siopis turns in a warm and melodic interpretation, using the trumpet breakdown to great effect, the slower pace providing perfect material for the deeper dancefloors.
House duo Jet Project take the original track and turn it into a relentless, percussive remix that works perfectly at peak time. Frantic drum lines and a schizophrenic shuffle collide for a high energy result.
Lastly, new kids on the block, Cloud Study wind things down into a cool and steady slowhouse/disco version that still utilises the original forms but puts them in a new and relaxed context, a perfect soundtrack to those lazy days in the sun.

Man Recordings bangs out a new EP by boss man Daniel Haaksman todsay.
Called “Hands Up”, it´s the perfect summer EP; full of eclectic Tropical and Balkan bass flavours.
The EP kicks off with “Hands Up” and a Kalimba melody plus the voices of Seguindo Sonhos, a three piece female vocal outfit from Mozambique, who bang out party lyrics in a mish mash of Portugese and English.
“Dubcheck” features Boban Markovic Orkestar; one of the most legendary gypsy brass orchestras from the Balkans. We got hold of a recording by Germany gypsy don Shantel (and ex-partner of Daniel), who collaborated with them a while ago. “Dubcheck” is a 100% floor bombing banger. This Gypsy Soca rave anthem was already approved by Italian stallions Crookers, who included it in their mix CD for French Tsugi magazine.
The third track in the EP is “Well Oso”, a downbeat track for all of you who miss the good days of loop based, downtempo jams.
DJs commenting on the “Hands Up” EP:

**UPDATE: Grab this little diamond with the download arrow, and get it on some big speakers! BOOM!
The future of house music (or so I've been told)... in the form of a little Kewpie-doll faced White girl.
What do you do?
What I love; making and playing the music for the people.
Where are you from?
I grew up in an diverse music filled little city in Illinois called Champaign... but my heart is in San Francisco.
What are you doing in Berlin?
Infiltrating Europe with more bass and all things Dirtybird and J.Phlip.
What did you listen to growing up? AND WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE?
From my parents record collection I loved to play Prince & Michael Jackson of course! Also, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Led Zepplin, etc.
My own tape and CD collection when I was younger was quite diverse.... Beatles, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Van Morrison, Cypress Hill, LL Cool J, TLC, Tupac, Biggie, Outkast, cheesy RnB like New Edition, etc.... Twista, Lauren Hill, Common, old Weezer, The Roots, Atmosphere... Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, and Diana Ross for singing into my hairbrush and dancing in the mirror :)
Then one day I won a Ben Watt Lazy Dog mix cd on the radio - and that was how I learned about what "house music" was.
I wanted to be a major league baseball player when I grew up.... foreal! For the Chicago Whitesox! hahahaaa Or else I wanted to be an astronaut, which made absolutely no sense because I got airsick on every airplane until 8th grade LOL! As it turns out I never grew up.
Where would say your biggest musical influences lie? Both in genre, location, and stage of your life?
When I first started DJing I was heavily influenced by the local DJ kids in my hometown as well as big names in Chicago and my Chicago homies. I started out playing really housey, funky, chunky, deep, and disco-y. Then I met the Dirtybird kids and made my way out to San Francisco a few times. San Francisco totally flipped my musical world. I saw crowds going bonkers to these absolutely insane techy, grimy, dirty, silly, and even straight up weird tunes. The dirtybirds had this whole hip hop influence thing going too which worked so good for me, because it brought me back to my hip hop roots, which was what I thought I wanted to play when I first started DJing. But I fell in love with the art of long mixes and layering tracks - I couldnt handle the short choppy mixing style of hip hop. This discovery of hip hop influenced house music was like the best of both worlds for me!
With production now I am very influenced by the music my friends are playing and making. Whatever else I'm listening to whether it be dubstep, hip hop, or even indie rock influences my sound as well.
What has been your first big breakthrough as an act?
It might sound silly but it was probably that DJ contest I won in LA through BPM Magazine back when I was 21. It put me on tour with Colette and Reid Speed and sent me to Miami for my first WMC. I'm not sure if it was a major breakthough or what but it definitely launched me into the world of dance music. I definitely became a part of the massive global connection and scene we have going on after that contest - it got me out of Champaign :)
What would you rate as the best experience that you’ve had in the music scene so far?
Being able to move people with music is always amazing - but getting to be a part of Dirtybird is a dream come true.
What’s the single most exciting thing about dance music at the moment in your opinion?
I LOVE all the genre melting and merging going on right now. I dont know how to categorize half the music out there right now - but if it's hot shit that's all that matters really!
Is there a different reaction to your sets in clubs in different countries across the globe?
Ya... I'm still feeling out if Europe can handle it when I start playing ghetto or silly. I think it kinda depends on if the crowd is really familiar with the Dirtybird sound or not.
Is there an all-time favourite track you wish you'd produced?
DJ Slugo - "Wouldn't You Like to Be a Hoe" has somehow become a staple in my sets. I've tried to retire it but it always gets requested. If I could take credit for that tune that would be the hotnessssss!
What do you have going on for the rest of 2010?
I'm hanging out in Berlin and touring Europe until October. I have a bit of a break in my schedule at the moment - I will be focusing on original tracks. I don't have a whole lot of original work out yet as I have only been releasing music for a year and a half... and I seem to have been remixing a lot lately. I am really looking forward to all of my upcoming Europe gigs but in particular Eastern Electrics in London is going to be insane! As well as a really sick gig on the French island of Corsica and my first Berlin show at Watergate! Then I gotta figure out how the hell im going to get back to San Francisco in October LOL ... I can't miss the final Dirtybird Golden Gate park party of the year!!!!! Quack!
Which DJ would you most like to punch and why?
I can't tell you that or i would get beat the fuck down... I would probably get beat the fuck down if I publicly announced that I dont give a fuck about the guy :) OK I personally wouldn't have any reason to punch him... but people feed into so much hype and bullshit sometimes when I just don't see what the big deal is?? BORING!!!!!
What’s the most ridiculous promotional thing you’ve done?
Once I was sponsored by Lacoste (not by my choice) and they sent me a bunch of really ugly clothes... so I sold them all to the used clothing shop cuz they gave me MAD MONEY for that shit!!!!

I mashed that up with a dope Renaissance Man beat ... giving a nice long intro, DJ friendly for a super long blend just how I like it!" - J.Phlip
